Mike Yules – 270 points up

Approach: Mike came into the first session and told us that he needed to get his scores up for football recruiting. We teased him: “Sure Mike, every kid tells us they’re a great football player.” And then he was recruited for football by Brown. We got owned.

Mike needed most help with strategy & SAT content. In the writing section we focused a lot on teaching grammar tricks (faulty comparisons, dangling modifiers); in verbal we focused on vocabulary and timing; in math we mainly focused on some function review and pacing.

Result: 1670 to 1940

Now attending: Brown, and becoming more liberal by the day.
